The legal terms for using Kleero. Please read them before buying a check.
Last updated: 30 August 2026
Kleero ("we", "us", "our") provides vehicle history check reports for UK-registered vehicles, built from official DVSA records and third-party provenance data. By using this website or buying a report, you agree to these terms.
We offer four one-off report tiers — Basic, Advanced, Full and Premium — each covering a different combination of MOT history, mileage records, insurance write-off/salvage status, previous keepers, outstanding finance, stolen/scrapped markers, taxi licensing history, valuation and technical specification. Exactly what's included in each tier is shown in full on the pricing page before you pay, against your specific registration.
Premium additionally includes a booked call with a technician to talk through your report. That call is advisory only — see section 6.
Nothing in a Kleero report constitutes a warranty, guarantee, valuation, or professional advice about the condition, safety, legal status or value of any vehicle.
You need an account to buy and view reports. You're responsible for keeping your login details secure and for anything done through your account. Tell us immediately if you think your account has been accessed without your permission.
Each report is a one-off purchase for a specific vehicle registration — there's no subscription. Prices are shown in GBP, inclusive of any applicable VAT, and are charged at the time of purchase via our payment provider. We reserve the right to change prices at any time; the price you pay is the one shown at checkout.
The Premium call is a conversation with a technician to help you understand your report and ask general questions. It is not independent financial, legal or engineering advice, is not a physical inspection of the vehicle, and should not be treated as a substitute for either. Call availability is offered within the time slots you select and is not guaranteed to the minute.
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you normally have 14 days to cancel an order for digital content without giving a reason. Because a Kleero report is delivered to you immediately and in full once payment completes, by proceeding to checkout you expressly request immediate delivery and acknowledge that you lose this right to cancel once your report has been generated and shown to you.
If a report cannot be generated at all (for example, DVSA has no record for the registration provided), contact us and we'll refund that purchase in full.
Because reports are delivered instantly, we don't offer refunds simply because the results weren't what you hoped to see. We will refund a purchase where the service genuinely failed to deliver — for example a technical fault prevented your report from being generated, or a Premium call was never arranged after a valid request.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability for any loss arising from your use of a report or the Premium call service is limited to the amount you paid for that report. We don't exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.
The Kleero name, logo and website design are our property. The report we generate for you is yours to use for your own personal purposes (e.g. deciding whether to buy a vehicle) — you may not resell or redistribute it commercially.
We may update these terms from time to time — the "last updated" date at the top will always reflect the current version. Continuing to use Kleero after a change means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
